Intro to Autodesk Maya

Interface

Three main areas in the software's interface are: Menu, Viewport, Timeline

• Top menu options change if you change the menu set (workspace).

• Hover over an icon to see the name and the function.

• You can Double click on icons to open up the Tool Setting

Viewport interaction

Holding the Alt key and move your mouse will let you navigate the viewport. Holding Alt + middle mouse button (for Mac: alt+cntl ) lets you pan/tilt in the space. Scrolling with the Middle mouse button lets you zoom in/out in the viewport
