Intro to Adobe Dimension

Adobe Dimension is a 3D rendering and design software developed and published by Adobe.

Add models

To add models to Adobe Dimension CC, the best place to start is with the starter assets. Go to Filter By category and choose the Models toggle.

Just Double clock on the 3D model or Drag and Drop it to the viewport! you can scale, rotate and move your models in the 3D space!

Add Materials

Again, just as with adding models, Adobe Dimension CC has an array of starter materials. Each of these materials can be modified in terms of color, reflection and glossiness. Images can also be added, and these have their own separate material controls allowing a metallic label to be placed on a matte cardboard bag with ease. Go to Filter By category and choose the Materials toggle.

Add lights and Background

You can add lights and environments under the Starter Assets category. lights can interact with a ground plane and be rotated.

You can also add backgrounds from the Filter By category by choosing the Images toggle.

Render in Adobe Dimension

Switch to the Render tab, and click on the Render button.

There are three render settings, Low, Medium and High, fast to slow respectively. You can save your render in PNG or PSD format.

Basic Commands:

Number "1" Orbit

Number "2" Hand

Number "3" Dolly

Undo - Command/Ctrl + "Z"

Copy - Command/Ctrl + "C"

Paste - Command/Ctrl + "V"

Select All - Command/Ctrl + "A"

Group - Command/Ctrl + "G"
